The Home Accessibility Problem
Home accessibility is something you know nothing about until you need to know everything about it, usually after a diagnosis, a fall, or a hospital discharge, when time is short and stress is high.
Most families end up juggling equipment vendors, general contractors, and conflicting advice. You buy a product that doesn’t fit your space. You pay for a remodel you didn’t need. The result is more cost, more delay, and a home that still doesn’t work the way you do.
There’s a better way to start, and it begins with the right expertise, not the first quote.

Every project begins with a licensed therapist, because your needs deserve more than a guess. We’re not here to sell you equipment. We’re here to solve for your independence.
As a therapist-led, fully comprehensive home modification provider, we bring together what most companies split across three vendors: empathetic clinical care, accessibility design, and real construction expertise. One team, one plan, one point of accountability, from the first walkthrough to the final install.

Meet the Founders
Enduring Home Solutions was founded by Trace Schwerman, PT, DPT (DFW Metroplex) and Kendall Cox, OT (San Antonio & Hill Country), a brother-sister team who spent years giving families the right recommendations in hospitals and clinics, then watching them struggle to carry those recommendations home alone. They built Enduring Home Solutions to close that gap.

Home Modification FAQs
What is a therapist-led home modification?
A therapist-led home modification is an accessibility change, like a grab bar, ramp, roll-in shower, or stair lift, planned by a licensed occupational or physical therapist. The therapist assesses how you move before recommending a solution, so the result fits your actual needs instead of a generic template.
Is the first visit really free?
Yes. Every project starts with a free in-home walkthrough, where a licensed therapist reviews your home and goals at no cost. If you need formal written documentation for a claim, an insurer, or a family decision, that report is available as a separate paid service.
Do you sell equipment, or do you do the construction too?
Both, and more. We assess, recommend, and install, from a single grab bar to a full accessible remodel, all handled by one team. You don’t manage an outside contractor, and you don’t get a product without the clinical reasoning behind it.
How much does a home modification cost?
Cost depends on the solution. A few grab bars is a small project; a full bathroom or whole-home remodel is a larger one. Because we start with a clinical assessment, we often find a simpler, less expensive path than families expect, sometimes reworking equipment you already own rather than rebuilding the space.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the DFW Metroplex and the greater San Antonio and Hill Country regions. Coverage includes Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding counties. See our locations page for specific service areas.
