About Enduring Home Solutions

Home Should Always Be a Source of Strength

We’re a therapist-led home modification company restoring safety, dignity, and independence to homes across DFW and San Antonio.

Why We Started Enduring Home Solutions

Too often, people find themselves trapped by a home that no longer fits their needs. Stairs become threats. Bathrooms become battlegrounds. Caregiving becomes physically and emotionally unsustainable.

Enduring Home Solutions was founded by a brother-sister team of licensed therapists, out of frustration with a blind spot in the healthcare system: what happens after discharge, when real life begins again at home.

For years, we gave patients the right recommendations inside hospitals and clinics, then watched them return to spaces that worked against their safety, comfort, and dignity. The clinical expertise ended at the hospital door. The hardest part, carrying it home, started right after, and families were left to manage it alone.

We knew we could do better. So we built the company we wished our patients had: one that carries clinical insight all the way home, from the first assessment to the final installation.

A Brother-Sister Team of Licensed Therapists

Enduring Home Solutions is led by two licensed clinicians who grew up in the same home and now build accessible ones for other families.

Trace Schwerman, PT, DPT

Trace, the brother half of the team, leads the DFW Metroplex. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch and began his career in 2016 in home health, where he saw firsthand how often a person’s own home worked against their recovery.

He went on to a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic, building a wheelchair seating clinic and revamping the vestibular rehab program, then joined an inpatient rehab team, planning hospital discharges alongside case managers and social workers.

Across every setting, the same frustration followed him: he could give a family the right recommendations inside the hospital, but once they went home, they were on their own to make them real. Watching that gap, again and again, is what pushed him to build Enduring Home Solutions with his sister.

Kendall Cox, OT

Kendall, the sister half of the team, leads San Antonio and the Hill Country. A native Texan, she earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and built deep experience in outpatient and home-health settings, learning how the right home environment changes everything for a person’s safety and independence.

She shared Trace’s frustration with the healthcare system’s blind spot after discharge, and the conviction that the environment should adapt to the person, not the other way around. Today she is a member of the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA) and an active home-modification assessor for projects across Texas.

Two Clinical Perspectives. One Complete Approach.

Beyond their clinical degrees, Trace and Kendall have both pursued advanced training specifically in home modification, including the Executive Certificate in Home Modification (ECHM) from the University of Southern California and the Certified Home Assessment and Modification Professional (CHAMP) credential from the David Corey Company.

Together, they bring physical therapy, occupational therapy, and specialized home-modification expertise to every project—helping families make decisions that consider not just the home, but the person living in it.

It all comes back to a belief they carried with them from the home they grew up in: everyone deserves to live safely and independently in a place that still feels like their own.

What We Stand For

Our Mission

To remove the physical and emotional barriers in a home, so families can live with greater peace of mind in the place they love.

Our Vision

A future where the home adapts to the person, and families feel supported by the space around them.

Our Values

Trusted Across Texas Home-Modification Programs

Our clinical, product-neutral assessments have made us a trusted partner to the professional and nonprofit organizations serving Texas families.

More Than a Contractor, a Partner You Can Trust

We blend medical understanding with construction excellence to create homes that reduce stress, protect dignity, and restore confidence. One team handles the full path, assessment, design, and build, so families never have to bridge the gap between the clinical plan and the finished work themselves.

Whether we’re helping an older adult age in place, a family adapt after a hospital discharge, or parents build freedom for a child with a mobility condition, we design with the full picture in mind: not just the diagnosis, but the daily routines, relationships, and goals that matter most.

We don’t just modify homes. We support the moments that matter: bath time, bedtime, getting to the family dinner, aging beside the people you love.
